Selected literary residencies

The Faber Residence, located in the Hotel Riu Fluvià in the city of Olot, was initiated in autumn 2016 and is directed by Francesc Serés. The Faber Residence is open to people from all kinds of disciplines related to the arts, sciences, and humanities, including writers, translators, filmmakers, playwrights, critics, journalists, and more. The stays last about a month. During the stay, residents collaborate on activities for students, professionals, and the general public.

The aim of Residencia Latitude 43 is to stimulate and promote literary creation in the context of A Coruña and its rich cultural life. The residency is open to writers with at least two publications. The programme provides an optimal environment for artists from all over the world to fully devote themselves to their creative projects, while also providing a venue for the public presentation of their work.

PICE, a program of the Acción Cultural Española (AC/E), aims to promote the international presence of Spanish creators, professionals, and artists. Its residency programme is designed to provide participants with the time, space and means to work in optimal conditions. It includes production support and expert assistance to encourage the transition to professional practice. The program aims to help participants achieve the highest level of professionalism by equipping them with suitable theoretical and practical tools, as well as contacts in the complex world of art.

The Writing Residency at Casa Belmonte offers a one-month residency grant in a rural refuge for writers. It aims to give authors the opportunity to dedicate themselves exclusively to writing. The call is aimed at new writers of any age and nationality. To participate, the writer must submit a summary of their story, a narrative sample, and personal data.

The Valparaiso Foundation offers artists from all over the world and from all creative fields, including musicians, writers, painters, sculptors and visual artists, a quiet and peaceful place to concentrate on creative work, free from distractions and daily duties. The farmhouse located in Mojácar (Almería) has eight private rooms and a library and offers individual workshops for painters, sculptors and visual artists, as well as a studio and auditorium for musicians. The creators can stay up to four weeks.
